Just saying, have you photographers thought of doing any work with a young family? It'd be nice to have like a classic, lively picnic scene instead of something this macabre. I would do it myself, but I don't have access to a wardrobe. Sweating a little...

I don't have a macabre feeling with this series, but I think it depends on your emotions :) such a picture with a vintage picnin could be great ! just have to find the models and the wardrobe

If I remember my art-history right, the Gothic Movement was started by the Abbot Sugar (pronounced Sew-jay), and actually focused on using stain glass to illuminate chapels. It was later renamed "gothic" (probably referencing the Visigoths, a tribe that saced Rome) because most people found it ghastly and barbarous. 

So I wouldn't use "Gothic" to describe it. "Macabre" is more accurate in my opinion. And "subdued."
